Beating the UK brokerage via true arbitrage - £8k -> £98k ($128k) since 21st April

Beating the UK brokerage via true arbitrage - £8k -> £98k ($128k) since 21st April
Alright you American autists, here's a gains post from the UK across the pond - listen up because it's pretty incredible, managed to screw over our broker to turn ~£8k into £98k / $128k USD by reading the small print, true u/fuzzyblankeet style.

https://preview.redd.it/9mlup18v0q951.png?width=343&format=png&auto=webp&s=aea1393d304d16063d62d54d30cc5be9b23d937a
Unfortunately, we don't have options trading, commission free robinhood which crashes, or any other US based degeneracy, but instead we British chaps can trade "CFDs" ie. 'contracts-for-difference', which are essentially naked long / short positions with a 10-20% margin (5-10x leveraged), a 'holding cost' and you could theoretically lose more than your initial margin - sounds like true wallstreetbets autism, right? Well grab a lite beer (or whatever you lite alcoholic chaps drink over there) and strap in for this stuff:
So, CMC Markets, a UK based CFD brokerage, wanted to create a West Texas Intermediate Crude Oil 'Spot' product, despite WTI contracts trading in specific monthly expirations which can thus have severe contango effects (as all of you $USO call holders who got screwed know) - this was just a product called "Crude Oil West Texas - Cash", and was pegged to the nearest front-month, but had no expiry date, only a specific holding cost -> already a degenerate idea from their part.
So in early April, just before when the WTI May-20 expiry contract 'rolled' at **negative** $-37, the "WTI Cash" was trading at $15 at the time, but the *next* month June-20 expiry was still $30+ we (I am co-running an account with an ex-Goldman colleague of mine) simultaneously entered into a long position on the "WTI - Cash" product, and went short on the "WTI Jun-20 expiry", a pure convergence play. Sure enough, the June-20 tanked the following week, and we made over £35k, realised profits. But meanwhile the May-20 also tanked, and we were down £28k. But rather than realise this loss, we figured we could just hold it until Oil prices recover, and profit on both legs of the trade.
However, CMC Markets suddenly realised they are going to lose a lot of money with negative oil prices (Interactive Brokers lost $104m, also retards), so they screwed everyone holding the "WTI - Cash" product trading at $8 at the time, and pegged it to the December 2020 expiry trading at $30, with a 'discount factor' to catch up between the two.
https://preview.redd.it/zjjzyahx0q951.png?width=517&format=png&auto=webp&s=9523bab878f06702133631f12c1109081f299f65
Now fellow autists, read the above email and try to figure out what the pure arbitrage is. CMC markets will charge us a 0.61% **per day** holding cost (calculated as the 10x levered value of whatever original margin you put up, so in our case £8k*10x=£80k*0.61% = £500 per day, £1.5k on weekends for extra fun) on our open positions, but also "increase" the position value by 0.61% per day vs. the **previous day's** WTI - Cash value. Got it yet? No? Still retarded? Here's where maths really helps you make tendies:-> If your 'cost' is fixed at 0.61% of your original levered position, but your 'gains' are 0.61% of the previous day's position, then your gains will be ever increasing, whereas your costs are fixed.
So we added some extra £££ (as much as we could justifiably put into a degenerate 10x levered CFD account) and tried to see if it works. Long story short, it does. At this point in July we were making **over £1k per day on a £8k initial position*\* regardless where the WTI Dec-20 fwd moved.
Unfortunately, eventually CMC markets realised what utter retards they were, and closed down the arbitrage loophole, applying the holding costs to the previous day's value. But not before we turned £8k into £98k, less holding costs.

Long story short, puts on $CMCX they're total retards, and given what a startup robinhood / other brokerages are, never assume that only they are the ones taking your tendies away, sometimes you can turn the tables on them!

US/UK/EU BTC Traders need more legal & regulatory advocacy

The legal compliance issues that are cited as the reason for our governments tormenting us and regulating us to death are actually in fact pretty goddamn complicated. A lot of it is about the Patriot act and them basically treating us like criminals and holding bitcoin to a double standard compared to cash.

Soon US citizens are not going to have access to any offshore leverage trading, it's quickly moving towards that with the increasing regulation. And yes there will be those of you who complain about leverage, but realistically, any trader who is a full time professional trader will simply move back to legacy if they lose leverage on btc. I have to focus on my career, I will move back to commodities, forex, and energies in a heart beat if I lose Mex to KYC. That's just the reality of it.
The Dutch are talking about effectively banning foreign firms from offering derivatives and services to dutch citizens. Multiple EU countries are talking similar things, and proposing massive deleveraging to comply with the ESMA laws. The goddamn FCA in the UK wants to outright ban bitcoin derivatives, which is insane.

From a legal standpoint we are just getting pummeled. States in the west are absolutely using double standards legally and punishing bitcoin traders in retail, while allowing complex legal institutional loopholes to remain open that allow hedge funds, banks, institutions, and family offices and ultra high networth individuals to continue to trade bitcoin on leverage and with special perks. If you think that type of double standard classist elitist thing is good for the fundamental nature of bitcoin, then I don't know what rock you've been living under, that's not how bitcoin is suppose to work man.

Kraken, Bitfinex, Binance, and FTX do not offer to US customers. Binance kicked us off, bitrrex delisted half of its coins, Circle left. Who's calling their representative? Who's calling the CFTC? Who's complaining? I have, I have called and faxed. But I seriously feel like we are getting steem rolled with no fight being put up.

Starting Forex Trading In 3 Steps

Forex Trading is accessible to all but the question is, how many can continue making profits? People who think of forex trading to be some kind of a gamble are making a big mistake. Forex trading is not based even on 1% luck but totally on the supply and demand, the laws of economics. To be able to work as a professional forex trader it is essential for you to have the understanding of these laws, know forex trading related jargon, and have the basic knowledge of the process of trading in the currency market.
Step 1 To Start Forex Trade - Start Learning The Theory
Starting forex trade without theoretical knowledge can make you feel exactly like finding a needle in a pitch dark room. To make yourself aware of the theory of forex trading you can read books, online articles to teach you the basics, take help from forex trader friends, etc. This can help you but this knowledge can have loopholes. You can have difficulty to understand the implementation of things if you try to learn these things by yourself. The best way to learn these things without consuming a major part of your precious time is by learning from a qualified mentor.
You should know how to choose the right mentor. If you do not do so, you might be paying the fee to an imposter. To see if your mentor is worth the deal, see his performance on his live trades and how the other students are performing. A real deal mentor will never hesitate in showing his performance and the results of the majority of the students will show regular growth. A good mentor only will be able to help you achieve the desired results.
Step 2 To Start Forex Trade - Try And Perfect Your Learning By Trading On A Demo Account
To have the experience that allows you to do things smoothly as a pro forex trader, you should practice your skills on the demo account. The demo accounts are the same as the real accounts. The quotation flows and the trading terms are exact in both. The difference in both is just of the real and virtual money. You have no risk of losing the real money. So in case even if you lose in a trade on the demo account, you do not lose real money, instead, you get a chance to work on your plan and understand where you went wrong.
While you are working on a demo account, it is recommended that you trade regularly. You should see this as training for you to enter in the real trade. The more mistakes you make, the more are your chances of improving them and learning new things. By following this advice you will be able to learn the various kinds of situations that you will have to face in the forex market.
Step 3 To Start Forex Trade - Start Your Real Trading Account
After you are confident about your knowledge about forex trading, you will have to start trading on a real account. Trading on the demo account for a while makes you acquainted with the situations of the market. Though you cannot assume your performance here just based on your demo account’s performance. When real money is at stake the psychology changes for sure. You become more cautious about taking even the smallest of the decisions. To gain confidence here do not start with a big investment. Move towards bigger profits with a slow but steady pace. Also, be ready for a loss at times. Do not get emotionally unbalanced with a loss or even with a win. Both wins and losses are a part of forex trading. The more balanced mindset you have, the better are your chances of being a pro forex trader. Combine a stable mindset with strategies and basics and also keep developing strategies that suit your trading style.
To improve your chances of growth you can start learning forex trade from Hafizzat Rusli. He has developed a forex trading course that has helped various students from different countries. USI Tech

I wrote this to a friend who attempted to recruit me into USI Tech.
heres my opinion
USI Tech has a lot of similarities with very problematic business models.
its ownership has problematic connections; it operates a multilevel marketing model that relies on the recruitment of new investors; i havent seen convincing proof that their software truly works the way they say it works.
ive found a lot of cloak and dagger having done a couple weeks of research on the company and my conclusion is that
for me personally there are too may red flags to invest. ive consumed a lot of material on the subject of their legitimacy from both sides of the argument. this is a complex question and it has a complex answer.
the objective truth of whether or not the company is a scam will be regarded as a matter of opinion until history reveals itself; as of right now you believe they are an honest enterprise, and i disagree. that is totally fine, we are both friends and we respect eachothers opinions and we want the best for one another; either of us could be wrong and it won't affect our friendship.
for me, the decision to forego the investment came from these red flags:
1.) Who. its hard to get an official document of exactly who owns the company however these are a few names that come up as people who have either seemed to own it or have at one point promoted it, all of which cast shade over themselves: Mike Kiefer, Ralf Gold, Joao Severino, Charles Scoville.
USI Tech is registered in Dubai and while that is not problematic on its own, there are devastating amounts of internet ponzis registered or operating out of Dubai, specifically foreign exchange trading scams.
2.) How. multilevel marketing. i despise MLM, i believe it is a predatory recruitment method that exploits people's hope and greed. while pyramid schemes can make money, very very very very very often the actual money making mechanism is the recruitment of new members and their subsequent purchase investments. even with a really shitty product you can make this go far so long as the hype is strong enough to feed recruitment.
my family was ruined when i was ten after my parents claimed bankrupcy over a zealous series of investments in Melaluca, an organic lotions MLM. this will always affect my bias.
3.) What. USI Tech's bitcoin product, what is it? do they offer a crypto trading software that works like their forex robot? as far as i can tell, there is no direct evidence of the actual trades that their software allegedyly engages in. my bottom line is here i can't come up with any evidence of a tangible product that truly does what they say it does which is problematic because they are offering a ROI which is apparently based on this robot's performance. moreover, if USI Tech is attempting some clever loophole trickery to avoid having registered with the SEC for selling securities, i have no idea what it is and that is alarming.
finally, 4.) Why. ponzi. if you do not know how a ponzi scheme works on a technical level, learn it, it is very simple. a multilevel marketing company out of Dubai that offers a cloaked software product raises supreme concern for me. their shelflife looks to have been extended by having added an anonymous and unregulated currency into the mix.
i don't doubt that at some level they are trying to make honest money, maybe that is what their mining operation is about. if they start offering cloud mining, that will be another red flag.
money can be made in a ponzi, i just believe its dishonest money. the operative is to discontinue reinvestment at a safe time. i cant put my btc in it because i believe it will contribute to the propagation of the business, which i believe to be malevolent.
__
for me, the magic is in bitcoin. not a robot that trades bitcoin. not a robot that trades in fiat markets.
i dont even speculate in arbitrage because the magic isnt even in the investment opportunity.
if what they say is true, and there is a robot that can consistently pull value out of crypto markets, then that is an innovative and lucrative achievement, but i don't buy it. if they use a robot to pull value out of forex, then my investment is directly participating in that system of currency that i don't trust.
you're a good dude, and obviously i have no hard feelings about your involvement, you will make money in it even which is great. like i said you can still make money in it and of course its tempting to invest so i might even buy a pack depending on how greedy i get, but my opinion isn't likely to change about the nature of USI Tech until i learn more.

What exactly should I look for? Is there a term for it?

I am currently a Masters Student and pursuing Data Science. I am really interested in Econometrics and have been looking into Forex Trade and was wondering if there is a specific term for following situation.

Lets say
1000 GBP equals to 98000 INR
98000 INR equals to 1308 CHF
1308 CHF equals to 990 GBP

There is almost a 10 GBP difference per 1000 Pounds.
PS- Not a real life example but if this is indeed a situation. May I know if there is a term associated with it as there could be many loopholes associated with the same aswell.

INR- Indian Rupee
GBP - Pound
CHF - Swiss Franc

Why trade.io will become the wolf of the financial markets and shake Nasdaq, Binance and a good junk of the forex markets

Why trade.io will become the wolf of the financial markets and shake Nasdaq, Binance and a good junk of the forex markets
Take a look at the feature that will make trade.io dominate both the crypto market and the traditional stock exchange market. We all know trade.io is that one exchange that comes with a lot of amazing features and benefits to the community and most often community members look at the liquidity pool and numerous airdrops to be their most unique feature or their preferred feature which is no surprise as people would love a feature that will get them quick cash especially in the crypto community but there is an underlying feature which trade.io is planning to introduce to the market which is going to shape and change the way people see the financial markets and this feature is the listing of small and medium size companies on the trade.io exchange in order to help them gain capital. The Ceo Jim Preissler carefully explained the difficulties faced by small businesses around the world who have brilliant ideas and good business models but are unable to get capital from investors because if they list their stock locally, they won't be able to raise enough capital from local investors and if they try to list on bigger exchanges like Nasdaq, the fee is usually too high for them and investors they don't even know them to buy their stock and their local investor would hardly gain access to buy the stock as well so trade.io saw this loophole in the market and decided to do something about it as we all know now for sure that the crypto world is just one big football field which you can find a lot of investors of all magnitude which will help most of these young companies gain capital through the trade.io infrastructure.
This is such a brilliant idea because it would equally help community members of trade.io easily diversify their portfolio by easily and effortlessly investing in stocks along side cryptocurrencies, tokens and forex which will all be traded on the trade.io platform. There is just no one trading company that has so many features, trade.io is just like combining Binance, Nasdaq and a forex exchange like Trading 212 which even with the combination, many features of trade.io would still be lacking like the liquidity pool and much more. So it would be wise to do yourself some good and get as many trade tokens as possible now that it is still below a $1 because if you are waiting for the price to fall before you buy then you may as well just message me to recommend you a project whose price is constantly on a good fall because trade tokens are bulling all the way up. you can watch this video for an deep explanation of the company listing plans by Ceo Jim Preissler . You can equally follow me to get constant update and analysis of the trade.io project
